The township of Omarama is located on the main state highway 8. Approximately 166km (2 hours drive) from Queenstown, and approximately 280 kms (4 hours drive) from Christchurch.Standard Rooms are warm, comfortable and spacious and feature Mountain views, electric blankets, Wifi, TV, mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Bedding is one Double Bed plue one Single Bed or three Single Beds.The hotel restaurant and bar are open for meals throughout the day, they serve predominantly fresh local cuisine.This is a modern low rise building, originally built in the mid 1970's but extensively refurbished in the year 2000.A medium sized lobby.A nice country hotel. The local area is world famous for gliding with records regularly set. Many very beautiful glacial lakes and the Mount Cook National Park in close proximity to the hotel. This is the land of outdoor adventure activities or a convenient place to stop and break the tour journey.
